Already end of June!
Half of this year has passed! Wow! Time flies!

In Japan, rainy season has started.
When it finished, summer starts.
During rainy season, we have Tanabata, that's the event related to the stars.
It's based on the legend.
To make long story short, two stars which representative for couple can meet only once a year on July 7th across the milky way.
Unfortunately, this legend is in lunisolar calendar, so nowadays the date of Tanabata is in Rainy season, the clear night sky is very rare. 

Next week many Japanese are aware of weather if the night will be clear or not and can see the star or not.

This is my star design pendant.

Designed with Arabic letter نجم which means "star".
Not like others, I used straight line a lot instead of curvy line.

Hope this year we can see the stars on the night of July 7th.

 

Word picture

Some may wonder what "word picture" is.

Forming pictures with different combinations of letters.
Sometimes it's used as an educational tool because the image and the word are similar, making the word easy to remember.

For example, this is my first product.

This is "LOVE" pendant in Arabic.
Not just unique heart, this is including the word حب  this means love in Arabic.
You see the letter in this shape?

I think this is very unique idea when it came up on my mind.
Curvy line is beautiful, could suit with jewelry...
This is the start of my jewelry.


 

Las Vegas trip

Three years ago this time, I visited Las Vegas and Grand Canyon from New York.

I stayed at old hotel in downtown.
Arcade light show is very interesting. Different experience than in NY.
They have free concert outside till 2AM (why I know is I couldn't sleep because it was very loud (^^;) in meantime, I could enjoy some music from my room)
Some bands covered Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Guns N' Roses etc, I was sooo excited, love their music!

This trip purpose is checking Las Vegas Jewelry Fair.
I used to visit Hong Kong Jewellery fair often and once in a while Vicenza too.
Las Vegas is very far from Japan, I had no chance when I was working for company.
At this time I was in NY so seize the opportunity.

Jewelry fair was held at different hotel, after checking show, I walked around.
This is so popular scene, Bellagio fountain show.

On third day of my trip, I joined one-day bus tour to Grand Canyon.

Amazing view!! Wish I could stay here longer since stratum reflection changes depending on sun angle. Even very short time, this spectacular scenery is marvelous.

A Indian guy took photo of me, he was sitting at my next in a bus.
I was alone (yes! this is lonely trip!), I appreciated that.
I remembered one Korean girl in our group was wearing exactly same T-shirt as mine(^^ゞ

During this travel, I ate every dinner by myself (not only dinner, every meal!), went to steak house or brewery.

Taking photo, using phone, besides, wearing jacket, I seemed like gourmet professional blogger??
This steak doesn't have much fat, lean but tender and juicy, I like a lot!
Japanese beef has good reputation though, for me, T born steak in Florence, this lean beef are better.

Self trip is sometimes good but Las Vegas is not the city to travel by myself.
If there is next opportunity, I want to visit with somebody!
 

One way or not

When I visited Times Square first time,
I felt this view could be same Osaka or Tokyo.
Sky scraper is not so rare and bunch of people is nothing special to me.
The most different thing is their so-called power.
Very lively, ambitious, high conscious, enjoy their lives.
And from all over the world.

Some may lose their purpose because here, there are many entertainments.
It's very easy to go with the flow.
Stream is so strong.

But good point is nobody cares of you.
Everybody is busy for own life.
Whatever you're doing, unless it's illegal, they leave you.
Which way is right, which way is wrong,
nobody knows.
That's this sign.

 

This is very confusing, but right way is up to you.

 

 

初めてニューヨークのタイムズスクエアを訪れたとき、
切り取った風景は大阪や東京と一緒だと思った。
高層ビルや人混みは大阪で育った自分にとってなんら特別な物ではない。
しかし決定的に違った物はそこを行き交う人の圧倒的な、陳腐な言い方だけど「パワー」だった。
生き生きしていて、野心的で、目一杯限られた時間を生きている感じ。
それが文字通り世界中から来ている。



住んでいると中には目的を失う人もいる。
ここには多くのエンターテイメントがあり、誘惑があり、
その強い流れに流されることはいとも容易い。
物価は高いし、家賃を払うので精一杯になることもある。

しかし見ようによっては誰も人の生き方を気にしていないのはいいところかも。
みんな自分の人生を生きるのに忙しいから。
何をしようと放っておいてくれる(法に触れない限りね)。
何が正しくって何が間違っているかなんて誰も知らない。
それを表すかのような上の標識。

とてもややこしい。いや、どっちやねん、と。
結局どっちに進んでもその先どこに向かうかは自分次第なんだよね。
